SITUATION

Dr. Hal Needham is CNC’s Extreme Weather and Disaster Scientist and a beloved public figure in the severe weather community. CNC wanted a way to showcase his deep knowledge of flood risk and severe weather that would engage a broader audience.

Our team came up with the idea to bring in other contributors to Hal’s research and writing and created a media product that could house all of that content in the form of a bi-weekly video podcast, social media live sessions, meticulously researched articles, branded apparel, and a unique focus on showcasing the expertise and charisma of Dr. Hal. The objective was to engage audiences and educate them about severe weather and how to better prepare for the future.

A COMPLETE BRAND IDENTITY SYSTEM

GeoTrek, a media product dedicated to demystifying extreme weather events and preparing communities for the future, sought a visual identity that embodied its core values: adventure, education, and global reach.

Working closely with GeoTrek, we created a bespoke visual identity resulting in a seamless design that interlaces the spirit of adventure and the urgency of climate education.

The logo, a vibrant emblem, took center stage. It showcases a bold, stylized globe encircled by a sweeping path reminiscent of a storm track and anchored by a single footprint. This image is meant to evoke the sense of a thrilling journey across diverse landscapes and weather systems. Bold color and topographic elements support the logo.
